The Jenkintown Community Alliance (JCA) strives to enhance the vitality of Jenkintown. JCA is a nonprofit organization focused on promoting Jenkintown and the Old York Road Corridor's strengths and opportunities as a place to live, work and shop.
Organized in 1999, JCA plays an important role in Jenkintown. The organization uses its 501(c)3 tax deductable non-profit status to support community projects such as the Jenkintown School Playground Project, the Hiway Theatre and other community-centered initiatives brought to it by the Jenkintown Borough, businesses, and residents. As of December 31, 2011, JCA is no longer a Business Improvement District. Rather than maintaining a staff, the organization is volunteer run, utilizing paid project coordinators when needed.
JCA's priorities for 2012 are the Sunset Run (June 19, 2012), ongoing web/social media outreach, and the Jenkintown Arts Festival (September 16, 2012). Please join our effort.
